Deep ruby in color, the wine begins with a candid cherry core with notes of cassis. A slight bacon aroma is in the background. On the palate, rich chocolate envelops the sweet cherry focal point and there is a detectable nutmeg spice towards the end of the sip. Full bodied with fine tannins. This should drink well for several years.

Refined dusty cherry fruit is combined with pleasant notes of tobacco and thyme. The wine dances in the mouth a bit due to some acidity but is kept in check (can't have too much fun) by strong tannins. The wine would pair well with an herbal steak cooked on the grill.

Taut and elegant. As it unwinds aromas, the flavors start revealing themselves. It's a bit shy in the nose but the palate shows sweet cherry, spicy tobacco, olive and flowery notes. A hint of chocolate also peeks through mid-palate to the long finish.

With its friendly open knit texture, this wine makes a great companion to a casual outdoor BBQ. Notes of plums, black olives, ginger and cherry jubilee creat an interesting array of flavors. The balanced acidity and tannin give the wine a little zip on an otherwise soft finish.
